UK Service Terms and Conditions

Customer reviewing UK service terms before bookingThese service terms and conditions set out the basis on which we provide our services to customers in the United Kingdom. By placing a booking, confirming an order, or allowing work to commence, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding. They are designed to create clarity, protect both parties, and explain the key rules that apply to our service arrangements, including booking, payment, cancellation, liability, waste handling, and the law that governs the agreement.

In these UK service terms, references to “we”, “us”, and “our” mean the service provider, and references to “you” and “your” mean the customer, client, or person making the booking. These terms apply to all service bookings unless we agree otherwise in writing. Any variation must be confirmed by us in advance and in writing to be valid. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

Booking confirmation and service agreement detailsWe may update these service terms and conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our operations, legal requirements, or industry practice. The version that applies will normally be the one in force at the time your booking is accepted. It is your responsibility to review the terms before confirming a booking. Continued use of our services after any update will be treated as acceptance of the revised terms where permitted by law.

Booking process begins when you submit an enquiry, request a quote, or otherwise ask us to provide a service. Any quotation we provide is usually based on the information made available at the time and may be subject to confirmation after any inspection, assessment, or additional details. A quote does not create a binding contract unless and until we accept your booking in writing, by electronic confirmation, or by commencing the service.

We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion, including where the requested work is outside our capability, unavailable on the requested date, or not suitable for legal, safety, or operational reasons. You must ensure that all information provided when booking is accurate and complete. This includes service location, access arrangements, relevant risks, property conditions, and any special requirements that may affect delivery of the service.

Service provider explaining payment and cancellation termsIf the service requires access to premises, equipment, vehicles, or facilities, you must ensure that the necessary access is available at the agreed time. Delays caused by incorrect information, restricted access, absence of an authorised person, or unsafe conditions may result in additional charges or rescheduling. We may need to postpone or cancel work if conditions are unsuitable or if carrying out the service would be unlawful or unsafe.

Payments are due in accordance with the quotation, invoice, or payment instructions issued by us. Unless otherwise agreed, all prices are stated in pounds sterling and may be exclusive of applicable taxes, surcharges, or additional fees. We may require a deposit, advance payment, or part-payment before the service begins. The balance must be paid by the due date shown on the invoice or immediately upon completion where specified.

Where payment is not received on time, we may suspend further work, withhold delivery of completed work, cancel future bookings, or charge reasonable administration costs and lawful interest on overdue sums. Any discounts, promotional offers, or special rates apply only where specifically stated and may be withdrawn without notice before acceptance. Payment by card, bank transfer, or other method is accepted only if cleared funds are received.

Additional charges may apply where the scope of work changes, the service takes longer than expected due to matters outside our control, or extra materials, labour, or equipment are required. We will normally notify you before incurring such charges where reasonably practicable. If the service involves repeated visits, staged work, or ongoing support, invoices may be issued in instalments. Failure to pay any instalment may affect continuation of the service.

Cancellations and rescheduling must be made in accordance with the notice period stated at the time of booking or on the relevant quotation or invoice. If no specific notice period is stated, you should give us reasonable notice. Cancellation charges may apply to cover reserved time, administration, travel, preparation, or materials already ordered. Where work is cancelled after we have started, you may be charged for the proportion of the service already provided.

We may cancel or reschedule a booking if we are prevented from performing the service by events beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, accidents, staff illness, transport disruption, equipment failure, or legal restrictions. In such cases we will use reasonable efforts to offer an alternative time. We will not be responsible for losses arising from a lawful cancellation or rescheduling where the cause is beyond our control, except where required by law.

You may have a statutory right to cancel certain consumer bookings made at a distance or off-premises, subject to applicable regulations. Where such rights apply, we will provide the relevant cancellation information and any required notice in the course of the booking process. If you ask us to begin work within the statutory cancellation period, you acknowledge that you may lose the right to cancel once the service has been fully performed, or may owe a proportional amount for work already done.

Liability is limited to the extent permitted by law. We will perform our services with reasonable skill and care, using appropriate standards and competent personnel. If we fail to do so, we may at our option re-perform the affected service, correct the issue, or offer a reasonable refund for the part of the service that was not delivered in accordance with these terms. This is without prejudice to any rights you may have under applicable consumer law.

We are not responsible for losses arising from inaccurate information supplied by you, your failure to follow our instructions, third-party actions, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under UK law. Any implied terms or warranties are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Waste handling and compliance under UK service termsTo the maximum extent allowed, we will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity, or loss of goodwill. Our total liability for any claim arising out of a booking or service will normally be limited to the amount paid or payable for the relevant service, unless a higher limit is required by law. Nothing in these UK service terms affects your mandatory statutory rights.

Waste regulations apply where the service generates waste, removed items, packaging, debris, or materials requiring disposal or recycling. You must tell us in advance if any waste is hazardous, restricted, contaminated, or subject to special handling requirements. We may refuse to handle waste that cannot lawfully be collected, transported, stored, or disposed of under applicable regulations or that requires permits or procedures not included in the service.

Where we collect waste as part of the service, ownership and transfer arrangements will be confirmed at the point of collection or as otherwise required by law. You must not place prohibited items in general waste streams or misdescribe the nature of any waste. If the waste includes electrical items, chemicals, sharp materials, or any other regulated substance, you are responsible for identifying it accurately and ensuring it is made available safely and in a condition suitable for lawful handling.

We expect all customers to comply with environmental and waste disposal laws. This includes separating recyclable materials where required, not leaving dangerous materials concealed among general items, and providing safe access for collection or removal. Where we arrange disposal through third-party facilities, we may rely on their lawful processing methods. Any additional costs arising from incorrect waste declarations, contamination, or non-compliant disposal requests may be charged to you. We may report illegal or unsafe waste-related activity where required.

Customer responsibilities include providing a safe working environment, accurate instructions, and any information needed to carry out the service properly. You must ensure that premises, access routes, utilities, and relevant equipment are available and safe to use where needed. If pets, children, fragile items, or dangerous substances are present, you must take reasonable steps to protect them and notify us of any risks before work begins.

You are responsible for obtaining any permissions, consents, or approvals required for the service, including from landlords, managing agents, freeholders, local authorities, or other interested parties where relevant. If the service depends on third-party cooperation, delays or failure caused by that third party will not be treated as our fault. You must check the completed work promptly and notify us of any issue within a reasonable time so that we can review and, where appropriate, put matters right.

Final section of UK service terms and governing lawIf any materials, equipment, or items are supplied by us, you must use and maintain them in accordance with any instructions provided. Risk may pass at the point of delivery, installation, or completion depending on the nature of the service and the item supplied. Any title to goods supplied remains with us until full payment has been received, where retention of title is applicable and permitted by law.

Service standards and changes may be affected by circumstances such as weather, site conditions, availability of materials, or changes requested by you after booking. We will use reasonable endeavours to meet agreed times and dates, but any estimated time is not usually guaranteed unless expressly stated. If you request a variation to the original booking, we may revise the price, timing, or scope of work accordingly. Any agreement to vary the service should be recorded in writing where reasonably possible.

If we need to make a change for operational, legal, or safety reasons, we will try to keep disruption to a minimum and notify you as soon as practicable. We may decline to proceed where a requested change would make the service unsafe, unlawful, or impracticable. Where a change materially affects the service, you may be offered the option to continue, reschedule, or cancel subject to any lawful charges already incurred.

Complaints should be raised promptly so that we can investigate and respond appropriately. We aim to deal with concerns fairly and in good faith, and we may ask for photographs, documents, or other relevant information to assess the issue. If a problem is capable of being remedied, we may choose to re-attend, correct the work, or provide another suitable remedy in line with these terms and applicable law.

Data and privacy matters are handled in accordance with applicable UK data protection laws. We will use the personal information you provide for the purposes of managing enquiries, bookings, invoices, service delivery, compliance, and record-keeping. We may retain certain information where required for legal, tax, or accounting purposes. You should ensure that any data you provide is accurate and that you have the right to share it with us where third-party details are included.

Nothing in these terms creates a partnership, joint venture, or employment relationship between us and you. We may assign or subcontract part of the service where it is reasonable to do so, provided this does not materially reduce the standard of service owed to you. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under the booking without our prior written consent. Any waiver by us of a breach will not constitute a waiver of any later breach.

Governing law: these UK service terms and conditions and any dispute or claim arising from them, whether contractual or non-contractual, are governed by the laws of England and Wales unless we state otherwise in writing. The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer rules allow you to bring proceedings elsewhere in the UK. These terms are intended to operate consistently with applicable statutory rights and consumer protections.
